The Sciton MicroLaser Peel (MLP) removes a thin layer of damaged skin to improve texture and provide a more youthful appearance. It provides superior results because it can be administered with great precision of depth.

The MLP’s beam is scanned over a treatment area to remove a very thin layer of the skin. Removing the top layer eliminates some of the damaged cells that can give skin a tired, aged look. As the skin heals, fresh cells grow and resurface the treated area. The result is healthier-looking skin, often with reduced wrinkles and improved color evenness. Patients often say that it looks like their skin went from looking tired to vibrant.

MicroLaser Peel improves the appearance of:

Thick or risen sun spots

Uneven skin texture

Lesions that flake and/or crust

Sebaceous Hyperplasia

You may experience some redness and  immediately post-procedure and this skin treated will begin to tighten, dry and become a scab within 24 hours.

Pigmented lesions will darken, gradually flake off and begin to fade over the next 7-10 days. (If areas of the body have been treated, this process can take up to 3 weeks.)

*Results depend on your skin’s condition, age, the number of treatments, and area treated.

MicroLaser Peel should not be used on patients with

Skin with a current tan from the sun, tanning beds or sunless tanners

(This can result in permanent scarring and/or uneven pigmentation. Patients should avoid sun exposure, tanning beds and self-tanners at least 2 weeks prior to treatment.)

Those with active infections or compromised immune systems

Those who have been on Accutane in the last 6 months

Topical medicines should be discontinued 1 week prior
